Using MPAC Data for Planning Purposes

Planning purposes is not defined in the Assessment Act, but MPAC has traditionally taken the position that planning is an “internal” municipal activity.  These internal activities would include internal policy development, the preparation of taxation information, and certain land-use-planning activities.

Operational and business delivery activities that are outward facing would not normally be considered a planning activity.  Please contact your local Account Manager if you have questions about a specific use or activity.
