Steps to change Text (.txt) to Excel (.xlsx)

Open Excel. Click ‘File Open’ and select a file for conversion to Excel. Click ‘Open.’ The Text Import Wizard below is displayed. Click the ‘Delimited’ radio button and click ‘Next.’

Step 2 of 3 Dialogue Box appears. Click ‘Other.'

Press shift and pipe (vertical bar) to select the pipe delimiter.

Click ‘Next.’

Click on ‘Text’ and ‘Finish.’
