SHARING OF MPAC DATA PRODUCTS BETWEEN UPPER AND LOWER TIER MUNICIPALITIES

All MPAC Data Products are subject to the terms of the Data Sharing and Services Agreement between the Municipality and MPAC, including the Data Terms and Conditions of Use.  Users shall read and agree to the Data Terms and Conditions of Use prior to accessing MPAC Data Products.

Name

Sharing of MPAC Data Products Between Upper and Lower Tier Municipalities

Description

Certain MPAC Data products may be provided by the Upper Tier Municipality to their related Lower Tier Municipality, and vice versa.

Permitted Uses

An Upper Tier Municipality may only share a Lower Tier Municipality’s data with such Lower Tier Municipality.  For greater clarity, the Upper Tier Municipality may not share a Lower Tier Municipality’s data with other “sibling” Lower Tiers.

A Lower Tier Municipality may share their own data with their respective Upper Tier Municipality.

The following data from Municipal Connect shall be used exclusively for Internal Planning Purposes: Owner Name, Mailing Address, Legal Description, Instrument Number, Sale Date, Sale Amount, Consideration Value of Sale, Current Value Assessment, AVM, Sale Counts, Phase In Assessment, Partitioned Value, Parcel Boundaries, X-Y Coordinates, Latitude/Longitude.

Other Municipal Connect data may be used for either Internal Planning Purposes or Internal Operational Purposes.

 

Format

MPAC supplied data elements extracted digitally by Municipality.

As needed.

  1. All data must be shared in a secure and controlled data exchange channel.
  2.  Individual data files must be password protected.
  3. All shared data shall continue to be subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Data Sharing and Services Agreement.
