MUNICIPAL CONNECT – INTERNAL OPERATIONAL PURPOSES

All MPAC Data Products are subject to the terms of the Data Sharing and Services Agreement between the Municipality and MPAC, including the Data Terms and Conditions of Use.  Users shall read and agree to the Data Terms and Conditions of Use prior to accessing MPAC Data Products.

In addition to utilizing Municipal Connect for Internal Planning Purposes, the Municipality may use a subset of Municipal Connect for its Internal Operational Purposes.

 

The following data shall be excluded from Product: Owner Name, Mailing Address, Legal Description, Instrument Number, Sale Date, Sale Amount, Consideration Value of Sale, Current Value Assessment, AVM, Sale Counts, Phase In Assessment, Partitioned Value, Parcel Boundaries, X-Y Coordinates, Latitude/Longitude.

Permitted Uses

INTERNAL OPERATIONAL PURPOSES:

 

Customer shall complete the internal business purposes data request form for each unique request and return such form to MPAC prior to using Product.  Where Customer has created the Product, Customer shall include a copy with their data request form.

 

Customer shall be limited to 10,000 properties per request without the additional written approval of MPAC.  Product shall not be distributed to any third parties except for Consultants specified in the internal operational purposes data request form who have agreed to substantially similar terms as the Agreement and this Product Use Sheet. 

 

MPAC reserves the right to review and modify or reject any data requests.

Format

Customer may either utilize information from Municipal Connect to create the Product or request that MPAC creates and emails the Product to the Municipality’s authenticated user. 

 

The Product shall be created in accordance with the following requirements:

 

The Product shall be a password protected Product with the authenticated user’s name, date and permitted uses.  The following disclaimer shall also appear on the Product:

 

The information contained on this product (the “Product”) is provided “as is” by the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC). The Customer assumes all risks and liabilities from the use of the Product. The use of this downloaded content is for the specific internal purposes of your municipality only as specified in your data request form to MPAC. Some data may be in progress and subject to change. Unauthorized access, use, modification, duplication, distribution or storage is not permitted.  Terms of the Data Sharing and Services Agreement and applicable data product licence apply.

 

A copy of the finalized data request shall either be emailed to the Municipality or displayed on Municipal Connect.

Additional Terms


  1. Each Product shall expire two years after its creation.  The Municipality may provide an updated request form where the Product is being utilized after two years or destroy such Product (including, if applicable, purge computer systems) and, upon MPAC’s request, certify such destruction in writing.
  2. Notwithstanding the foregoing, if applicable, Customer may retain one copy of applicable Product to permit Customer to satisfy its regulatory record retention obligations, which copy of Product shall not be accessible by Customer or its officers, directors, employees, representatives or agents in the ordinary course.
  3. All other Terms and Conditions are covered in the Data Sharing and Services Agreement including the Data Terms and Conditions of Use.
